A file called daily-triage-skill-interview.md lands in your inbox immediately after signup — this is the file you upload to Claude to kick off the interview.
Install it in your Claude account
Go to Customize in your Claude account, upload the file, and confirm the skill update. Free and paid Claude accounts both work.
Run the 9-question setup interview
Open a new Claude chat and say "Let's build my triage skill." Claude asks you 9 questions, one at a time, and generates your personalized skill file at the end.
Connect your Gmail Connector
Go to Settings, then Connectors, and authorize Gmail. The skill cannot read your inbox without the Connector active.

Before you download
Do I need a paid Claude account?
No. The skill installs and runs on free Claude accounts. A paid account gives you more daily messages, which matters if you're triaging a very high-volume inbox, but it isn't required to get started.
Is it safe to connect my Gmail?
You're connecting through Claude's own built-in Gmail Connector, the same permission model you'd use for any Google-authorized app. You control the connection from your Claude account settings and can revoke it any time.
What if my business doesn't look like Monica's?
That's the point of the 9-question interview — it builds your buckets, your VIP senders, and your noise list from your answers, not a template. Solo service providers, agencies, and product businesses all use it with different setups.
Can I change the rules after I install it?
Yes. Tell Claude what changed in a normal conversation — a new team member, a platform you no longer check, a sender who should always be urgent — and the skill file updates in that same conversation.
Does it send emails on its own?
No. It drafts replies for you to review, edit, and send yourself from Gmail. Nothing goes out without you.
