The Connector Recipe Playbook

22 ready-to-copy recipes that turn the tools you're already paying for into a team that works while you don't.

The first time I strung two of my tools together and let AI do the connecting, I got back an entire week's content plan before my coffee went cold. I didn't build anything new. I just pointed AI at what was already sitting in my Drive and my Kit account and asked it to do the boring part.

That's the whole idea behind this playbook. You already pay for Gmail, Google Calendar, Canva, and whatever else runs your business. A connector recipe is just a specific way of pointing AI at two or more of those tools at once so it can pull real information out of them and hand you back finished work instead of a blank page.

Below are 22 of them, organized by what they're actually for. Pick the ones that match tools you already have, copy the idea, and put it to work today.

This playbook is also the foundation for what I'm teaching live at the Empowered Business Society® Get It Done Week in August, all about connectors. If you want the deeper version with the recipes I run inside my own business, that's where we go next.

Answer two quick questions and I'll point you to where to start.

What's eating the most time right now?

Content & Email

For the week you don't have time to start from a blank page.

📁 Google Drive✉️ Kit

The Monday Reset

Point this at your running ideas doc in Drive and it pulls out what's usable, drafts this week's newsletter, and hands it back ready to paste straight into Kit.

"Pull my ideas doc from Google Drive, find anything usable from the last two weeks, and draft this week's newsletter ready to paste into Kit."
📁 Google Drive✉️ Kit

The Repurpose Loop

Feed it one blog post or training doc already sitting in Drive and it comes back with three fresh email angles built from the same material, so nothing you've already written goes to waste.

"Take this blog post from my Drive and turn it into 3 different email angles I can send to my list."
📧 Gmail

The Inbox Triage

Sorts the last 24 hours of your inbox into Urgent, Needs a Reply, and FYI, then drafts replies in your voice for anything that needs one.

"Read my inbox from the last 24 hours and sort everything into Urgent, Needs a Reply, and FYI. Draft a reply for anything in Urgent or Needs a Reply."
✉️ Kit

The Subject Line Split Test

Pulls the subject lines and open rates from your last five sends, tells you what's actually working, and suggests new angles worth testing next.

"Pull my last 5 broadcasts from Kit along with their open rates. Tell me what's working and suggest 3 new subject lines to test."
📁 Google Drive📅 Google Calendar

The Content Calendar Builder

Takes a rough list of content ideas sitting in Drive and turns it into an actual scheduled calendar with real dates blocked on your Google Calendar.

"Here's my running content ideas list from Drive. Turn it into a 4-week content calendar and add each item to my Google Calendar with a real date."

Meetings & Time

For getting your calendar to work for you instead of against you.

📅 Google Calendar

The Batch Day Finder

Scans your week and tells you the best open block for batching content, so you stop hunting for time that technically doesn't exist yet.

"Look at my calendar for this week and find the best 3-hour open block for content batching. Tell me when it is and why."
📅 Google Calendar📧 Gmail

The Meeting Recap

Pulls today's meeting details and drafts a follow-up recap email to send to everyone who was in the room.

"Pull the details from today's meeting on my calendar and draft a recap email to send to everyone who attended."
📅 Google Calendar📧 Gmail

The Prep Sheet

Pulls tomorrow's meetings along with the related email threads and puts it all into one prep doc, so you walk in already caught up.

"Look at tomorrow's meetings on my calendar, pull any related email threads, and put together one prep doc so I walk in ready."
🎥 Fathom or Zoom📧 Gmail

The Follow-Up Autopilot

Takes a call transcript and turns it into a drafted follow-up email with next steps already written, ready for you to read and send.

"Here's the transcript from my last call. Draft a follow-up email with the next steps we agreed on already written in."

Sales & Money

For keeping revenue moving without babysitting every dollar yourself.

🗂️ Airtable🎨 Canva

The Spotlight Builder

Pulls a product's testimonials straight from Airtable and generates a graphic that spotlights it, ready to drop into an email or a post.

"Pull the testimonials for this product from my Airtable base and write copy for a Canva graphic spotlighting it."
🛍️ Shopify

The Shop Pulse Check

Pulls the last 30 days of orders and flags what's actually selling and what's quietly stalling, so you know where to put your attention.

"Pull my Shopify orders from the last 30 days and tell me what's selling well and what's quietly stalling."
📧 Gmail

The Sponsor Slot Filler

Drafts outreach to fill an open sponsorship slot, using your own past sponsor emails as the template so the tone matches what's already worked.

"Look at the last 3 sponsor emails I sent and draft new outreach to fill my open ad slot, matching that same tone."
💳 Stripe or PayPal

The Payment Pulse

Scans the last 30 days for failed payments or refund patterns worth a second look, before they turn into a bigger problem.

"Scan my Stripe or PayPal account for the last 30 days and flag any failed payments or refund patterns worth a second look."
📧 Gmail💳 Stripe or PayPal

The Invoice Chaser

Finds who owes you money and drafts the follow-up, so chasing invoices stops eating your afternoon.

"Find any unpaid invoices from the last 30 days and draft a follow-up email to each person who owes me money."

Design & Presentation

For the visuals you need today, not next week.

🎨 Canva

The Instant One-Pager

Takes any testimonial you've collected and turns it into a branded, postable graphic in seconds.

For staying close to the people you're actually building for.

💬 Slack📧 Gmail

The Win Roundup

Pulls the week's client or team updates into one shareable recap, so wins actually get seen instead of buried in a thread.

"Pull this week's updates from Slack or my inbox and put together one shareable recap of the wins."
🎓 Thinkific

The Student Check-In

Pulls enrollment and completion data to flag who's stuck and worth a personal reach-out before they quietly disappear.

"Pull enrollment and completion data from Thinkific and flag anyone who looks stuck or hasn't logged in for two weeks."
📧 Gmail💬 Slack

The Feedback Digest

Pulls recent student questions into one themed summary, so you can see the pattern instead of answering the same thing five separate times.

"Pull the student questions from the last week in Slack or my inbox and summarize the themes so I know what to fix or expand."

Tasks & Projects

For knowing exactly where things stand without opening ten tabs.

✅ Asana

The Monday Task Sweep

Pulls everything overdue and everything due this week into one prioritized list, so Monday starts with a plan instead of a scroll.

"Pull everything overdue and due this week from Asana into one prioritized list."
✅ Asana

The Status Snapshot

Turns a project's task activity into a plain-English update, ready to send to a client or your team without you writing it from scratch.
